Successfully ends Baseball Tournament in SDE

Santo Domingo East.– With a resounding success, the baseball tournament of the Santo Domingo Este Confraternity, with the participation of representative teams from more than 36 leagues.

The tournament included competitions in various categories and was organized by the Santo Domingo Este Baseball Fellowship, chaired by Mr. Melvis Rivas.

The winners were the representative teams of Mendoza, in Youth, and Raphael Baezin Children, whose directors received the corresponding trophies.

The inaugural ceremony of the sporting event, which took place at Play La Francia, in Villa Duarte, was attended by personalities from the sports, community, business and political worlds.

During the ceremony, a plaque of recognition was delivered to Mr. Luis Hernández, former general director of the Budget, in gratitude for his support of sports.

In addition to the Villa Duarte sports field, matches were also held at the La Marina de Guerra Baseball Playground, in Santo Domingo East.

Also present at the award ceremony were the former Sports Minister, former top basketball athlete and current head of the People’s Force Sports Secretariat, Felipe –Jay- Payano, former Sports Minister, Luis Hernández, Dr. Miguel Surum Hernández, president of the Bar Association and candidate for Mayor of Santo Domingo Este; businessman Joaquín Hilario, Ángel Rivas, Fabián Taveras, Anibelka Rodríguez and Rafael Báez.
