Iga Swiatek made it to the final in Madrid in a hurry.

21-year-old Swiatek dominated the game from the start and pulled away 3-0 after the first break. In the further course, the Pole was able to take over the service from the native Russian again and secured the first round.

Briefly in the second set, Kudermetova seemed to be able to put up a little more resistance and held through her first service game. But Swiatek continued the performance in the first set and triumphed 6-1 and 6-1 after 79 minutes.

Australian Open winner Aryna Sabalenka, who is seeded No. 2 and against whom she recently triumphed in two sets in the final at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, is waiting for the final on Saturday
