The funny biathlon of the children of the Poan Ben school – Morlaix

“Allée du Poan Ben closed due to biathlon”: this intriguing sign, filed by the municipality at the end of the week, had surprised the Morlais residents. A biathlon, so far from the mountains, in Finistère, right in the city center? Eh yes. Revisited and organized by the dynamic association of parents of pupils of the Poan Ben school, this biathlon without snow, without skis, without rifle but with running between the nursery school and the primary school, ball throws for the little ones and archery for the older ones, brought together 60 pupils on five races, from the middle sections of kindergarten to CM2, before the race of the volunteers, who all wore a t-shirt in support of the syndrome association by Noonan.

As in real biathlon, the races were played on the firing line, where 14 buckets and balls or targets and arrows awaited young and old, guided by as many judges, mostly former students of the school, delighted to rediscover the courtyard of their childhood in such effervescence. Galvanized by the encouragement of many parents, the children, with their faces flushed with effort, were then able to enjoy a pancake and an orange juice, delighted to have completed this funny biathlon, which necessarily calls for a second one…
