The Playoffs » Kansas City Chiefs sign Donovan Smith

According to information from Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Kansas City Chiefs are signing a deal with Donovan Smith for one year and worth $ 9 million.

In free agency, the defending NFL champion lost tackles Andrew Wylie and Orlando Brown Jr, but signed Jawaan Taylor to a four-year, $80 million deal to replace the two outs.

In case you are not surprised, Smith should take the position of left tackle, while Taylor will be at right tackle. The 29-year-old new signing has spent the last eight seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, starting 124 games in that span.

Kansas City did a great job protecting Patrick Mahomes last season, finishing third in sacks allowed, according to Football Outsiders. The Chiefs did not allow a sack in the victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, which clinched the franchise’s Super Bowl title this year.
