Decize. New podiums for the judo club Decizois.
The Judo club decizois confirms its good results by winning new podiums in seniors, cadets and youngsters.
Éloïse Sapor climbs to the first step at the end of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (BFC) senior championships, disputed on April 29, in Saint-Marcel (Saône-et-Loire).
It will therefore participate in the French championships of 1 re division, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November 2023, in Caen. After qualifying for the French junior championships a few months ago, it is once again that she imposes herself as the best judoka in more than 78 kg in BFC. She thus offers her club a sixth qualification for the French championships this year, and a new record.
Open doors
The following day, Sunday April 30, Hugolin Sapor, his brother, placed third in the BFC cadet championships of 2 e division and qualifies for the first time in a national phase. After two quiet years, the young judoka from Decize (under 81 kg category) was able to take the same path as his club comrades to participate, last Sunday, in the French championships, in Ceyrat (Puy-de-Dôme). He reached 32 es of final.
Kenza Cardona (- 40 kg), the only youngest of the club engaged in the BFC championship, on May 6, in Talant (Côte-d’Or), was expeditious against her opponents: she won five fights by ippon, including four in less than ten seconds. She is also on the top step of the podium.
The two judokas in the Espoir category (cadets 1 re year), Maurine Stellato (- 44 kg) and Léane Messaux (- 70 kg), rank respectively ninth and fifth, at the end of the French championships of 2 e division disputed, last Sunday, in Ceyrat (Puy-de-Dôme). Léane comes close to a place on the podium, she loses in the quarter-finals.
Agenda. The season is coming to an end for the competitors of the decizois club, with a last event before a well-deserved vacation: judo awakening tournament (3-7 years old) and pre-chicks (8-11 years old), Saturday May 27 and Sunday May 28, at the gymnasium de Caqueret (free entry).
Finally, open doors are planned throughout the month of June, to discover the discipline and the club (club@judoclubdecizois).
