Korean badminton advances to Sudirman Cup finals after 6 years

The Korean badminton team challenges to win the 2023 World Mixed Team Championships and Sudirman Cup in six years.

The national team reached the final by beating Malaysia 3-1 in the semi-final held in Suzhou, China.

After a come-from-behind victory in the first match, mixed doubles, Ahn Se-young won the second victory in women’s singles, and Kim Won-ho and Na Seong-seung in men’s doubles defeated the world No.

In this biennial tournament, Korea won its fourth championship in 2017, then reached the quarterfinals in 2019 and third in 2021.

The national team will play the finals today (21st) with the winners of the semi-finals between China and Japan.
