Claire Holt, the actress known from The Vampire Diaries, who caused a sensation this week with her statements about ‘baby’ Max Verstappen, has responded to her recent statements. She received quite a few reactions, but she doesn’t shy away from them at all. She also gives away the underlying reason for these statements.
Holt came into the news this week, probably without expecting it, by responding to a question about Formula 1 in an Instagram story in which she answered questions from fans. When asked if she still watches Formula 1, she replied, “I love it, but I’m tired of Max winning all the time. Also, I think he’s a moody baby and I hope Checo [Sergio Pérez] beat him up.” This did not receive much approval from Verstappen fans.

Response Holt
After her statements, she felt it necessary to respond to several reactions. She posts four messages on her story on Instagram, including three messages in which she shows reactions from Verstappen fans and then responds to these reactions herself. These comments go quite far. In the video which she posts on her Instagram story, she says the following. “I can’t stop laughing about you guys taking it so seriously that I called him a moody baby,” after which she laughs. “I stand behind what I said. Pérez has been a fantastic teammate for Verstappen. What he has done to him is the behavior of a baby.” The statements are likely related to Verstappen’s action in São Paulo last year, when he decided to ignore a team order from Red Bull Racing and not let Pérez past after an incident during qualifying in Monaco earlier that year. Holt clearly hasn’t forgotten about that move.
