Adrian Mannarino qualified for the second round of the Queen’s tournament

Adrian Mannarino qualified for the second round of the Queen’s ATP 500 tournament on Tuesday. The French player, 46th in the world, defeated Briton Liam Broady in three sets (1-6, 6-4, 6-3), ranked 143rd at the ATP and beneficiary of a wild card on the London lawn.

Mannarino started the game very badly, however, losing his serve twice to trail 5-0 in the first set. Broken at the start of the second set, he however regained control afterwards. And, in the last set, a new serve taken, at 2-1, allowed him to escape and then qualify.

In the second round, Adrian Mannarino will play against the American Taylor Fritz or the Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles, who will face each other at the start of the evening.
