The Argentines Maria Lourdes Carle y Julia Riera advanced this Tuesday to the second round of the previous classification of the Open tennis of Wimbledonthird Grand Slam of the season, by beating the Swiss Susan Bandecchi and the American Eden Silva, respectively, while her compatriot Paula Ormaechea was eliminated in her debut.
Carlé (141), a native of the Buenos Aires city of Daireaux and ranked 141 in the WTA world ranking, beat the Swiss Bandecchi (368) 4-6, 6-1 and 6-2, after 1 hour and 58 minutes of confrontation.
The Buenos Aires native will face the Chinese in the second round of the qualy Zhuoxuan Bai (191), who beat Russian Maria Timofeeva (216) 6-3, 6-2.

For her part, Riera (150) from Pergamin made her debut with a victory against the American Silva (391) 6-3, 6-3, after 1 hour and 10 minutes of contention.
Riera will face the Swiss in the next instance Simona Waltert (115), who today eliminated the French Leolia Jeanjean (143) by beating her 6-2 and 6-4.
While the sunchalense Paula Ormaechea (198) was eliminated from the competition after losing to the Slovak Viktoria Hruncakova (127) by 6-2 and 6-1, after just 56 minutes of play.
