Today another note of success was written in the vast history of sports in our state, as Jalisco added its first gold medal in Figure Skating on wheels, within a national sports fair.
The gold medal was won by skater Regina Stone Becerril, who executed her routine by note and thus managed to proclaim herself champion at the CONADE 2023 Nationals within the “Long Program” of the Junior Minor category. In addition to the gold, Stone Becerril won the silver in the “Short Program”.
This is how Jalisco added its first metals in the history of Figure Skating in this national fair.
Badminton, one day away from distributing medals
The badminton activity in its U19 category, held this Sunday its elimination matches corresponding to the modality of doubles, singles and mixed, in which the Jalisco representatives continue to seek victory to access tomorrow’s round of medals.
The Jalisco representation is made up of Néstor González, Maximiliano Peregrina, Carlos Jaramillo, Juan Jiménez, Daniela Ochoa and Jocelyn López, who played their respective matches today, highlighting Jocelyn, who defeated Lilian García, from Nayarit, in the round of 16 by 21 -13/21-17, and is still alive in the singles category.
