FC Groningen has currently sold 4,719 season tickets. This number includes supporters who have a five-year card with the club. The vast majority of season ticket holders come from the municipality of Groningen, followed by supporters from the municipality of Central Groningen. Season ticket holders of the past season can extend their ticket until Sunday 2 July.
FC Groningen started selling season tickets on Thursday, June 1 at 10 a.m. Exactly nine days later, the counter stood at 4,719 season tickets this morning – Friday, June 9 at 10:00 am. Just over forty percent of the supporters who have extended or bought their season ticket to date come from the municipality of Groningen.
Residents from the municipality of Midden Groningen follow and go head to head with supporters from the municipality of Het Hogeland and the municipality of Westerkwartier. Tynaarlo is the first Drenthe municipality on the list of most season ticket holders at FC Groningen.
In addition to season ticket holders in Stad and Ommeland, FC Groningen also has supporters with a season ticket in Rotterdam, Eindhoven, Tervuren in Belgium and Hamburg in Germany. Supporters living in Spain and Scotland also extended their season ticket at FC Groningen. You can easily extend the season ticket via https://tickets.fcgroningen.nl/
Extend no later than Sunday 2 July
The places of the current season ticket holders are reserved until Sunday 2 July 23:59. Anyone who extends the season ticket before that date pays a cheaper rate. This rate also applies to supporters who did not have a season ticket last year and decide to purchase a season ticket no later than Sunday 2 July.
The seats in the Koeman Tribune and the Piet Fransen Tribune that are currently not occupied are for sale. At the Tonny van Leeuwen Tribune it is currently only possible to extend a season ticket. FC Groningen thought it was inappropriate to increase the prices of season tickets compared to last season. A season ticket at FC Groningen can be purchased from €185. After Sunday 2 July a different rate applies. It pays to decide early.
If you decide to extend your season ticket by Sunday 18 June, you can opt for payment in two installments (the money will be debited from your account around 28 June and 28 July). Exchange days
FC Groningen organizes several exchange days the day after the deadline of the extension period. For the supporters in the Tonny van Leeuwen Tribune, the exchange days are on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 July from 09:00 to 17:00. For supporters in the Piet Fransen Tribune and Koeman Tribune, this is Wednesday 5 July from 09:00 to 17:00. All non-extended or sold spots will then be available.
Season ticket holders who want to exchange can extend their current season ticket until Sunday 2 July and then use the exchange option. By renewing the season ticket before the deadline, you pay the advantageous rate. If you exchange to a course in a different price category, you pay the difference or get the price difference back. From Friday 7 July at 10:00 am, the sale of the currently free places will start. This also applies to the available places in the Tonny van Leeuwen Grandstand. There will be no season ticket sales in the week from Monday 3 July 00:00 to Friday 7 July 10:00.
