Forecasts come true. As reported by Kendra Andrews of ESPNDonte DiVincenzo has chosen not to exercise his $4.7 million player option to remain with the Warriors, which automatically makes him an unrestricted free agent.
The forward’s decision is more than understandable. In free agency, he shouldn’t have too much trouble getting a higher salary, which would be accompanied by the security of signing a multi-year deal.
Without being a star, the intensity and energy that he transmits on the floor are highly valued in the NBA, so it is likely that many teams notice him. During the last season, which he has played with the Warriors, he has averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists with 39.7% shooting from three-pointers.
