The first training of the Austrian team players before the European Championship qualifiers on Saturday (8.45 p.m., live on ORF1) in Brussels against Belgium and on the following Tuesday in Vienna against Sweden (8.45 p.m.) took place on Sunday in Windischgarsten without David Alaba. The ÖFB captain and his partner Shalimar are expecting their second child these days.
Marcel Sabitzer also practiced individually on the pitch, while Konrad Laimer and Kevin Danso strengthened themselves in the gym. The rest of the 27-man squad completed a one-hour session in front of around 1,000 spectators, followed by autographs and selfies. Also on the spot was the future ÖFB President Klaus Mitterdorfer.
