Atlanta Hawks: No one untouchable except Trae Young?

The Hawks made their first move with John Collins’ trade, and according to Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN), more could follow. Accordingly, no player with the exception of point guard Trae Young is untouchable.

That probably also applies to Dejounte Murray, for whom the Hawks put three first-round picks on the table last year and who could now sign a new contract.

The Hawks were one of the disappointments of the season last year and only qualified for the postseason via the play-in. There they lost 2-4 to the Boston Celtics in the first round.

NBA rumors: 4 teams with “big moves”?

Howard Beck (GQ) also reports that Atlanta has something bigger in mind. He lists the Hawks as one of four teams that could make “big moves.” The other three teams Beck names are the Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Pelicans and the Chicago Bulls – all teams that failed in the play-in last season.

Could Zion Williamson be involved? There were rumors of potential trade talks surrounding the former top pick ahead of the draft, but according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Zion was never available. Thus, the Pelicans were only interested in somehow getting their hands on picks 2 or 3 in order to snag Scoot Henderson, who the Portland Trail Blazers ultimately drew with the third pick.

NBA rumors: Westbrook wants to stay with the Clippers

Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook could stay with the LA Clippers. As Howard Beck (GQ) reports, this is very likely, even if the Californians can only offer the point guard 3.8 million dollars for the coming season.

The 34-year-old did well for the Clippers after his Lakers buyout and put up a good playoff series against the Phoenix Suns, especially after two stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George had to pull out injured. In 21 games for the Clippers, Westbrook averaged 15.8 points and 7.6 assists with odds of 48.9 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from the three-point line.
