Saturday morning, after the general assembly of the Espérance La Bouëxière judo club, 120 judokas participated in the presentation of the new belts. This event took place in the presence of Éric Lebreton, the teacher, and Lætitia Meignan, bronze medalist at the Barcelona Olympics (1992), former world medalist and four-time European champion.
The associations of La Bouëxière and Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier had pooled this awarding of diplomas and belts in order to take advantage of the arrival of Laëtitia Meignan. Judo is sharing.
A memory that will remain etched in their memory
Linked by their proximity and their common teacher, Éric Lebreton, these two clubs have been talking for a long time. Similarly, their presidents are both black belts and train together in the two municipalities.
It was a memorable morning attended by parents proud of their children. Lætitia Meignan lent herself to the photo shoot for each graduate. A memory that will remain, I hope, forever engraved in their memory, hopes the professor.
It’s amazing. Great atmosphere, good organization, everyone participates. The judokas are motivated and happy to be together, commented the champion, who was also impressed by the wooden sculpture, representing a hip movement, made for the general assembly by Esther Seguin, from La Bouëxière.
Edifying awards
Étienne Autret (La Bouëxière) finished fifth in the Ille-et-Vilaine first division championship; third in the championship of Brittany second division. She also participates in the French Cadet Cup.
Gabriel Horellou (Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier) and Swan Warme (La Bouëxière) both won their last fights to obtain their belts, during Shiaï, the competition gathering only brown belts”, specified Éric Breton.
These three young people are essential to the group dynamic, very appreciated and unifying for the clubs, ”he added.
In the afternoon, Laëtitia Meignan led a session, to make us work on collective intelligence. She made us discover her judoka secrets and her attack system which notably allowed her to be a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games.
