Although he doesn’t know the area very well, he is very satisfied with the training opportunities in the Mülimatt: “It’s great for us here. We have a great infrastructure,” explains the very modest and reserved young man. He also has numerous strong training partners or opponents. Depending on how you take it: “We have a lot of good young people here. But also older and experienced judokas. It’s a really good group and it’s very cool,” he says happily.

Precisely because he has not yet been able to explore the area in this way, Heidi Ammon for Windisch and Barbara Horlacher for Brugg took the opportunity to congratulate the world champion and hand over a bath towel and vouchers for a visit to the thermal baths, if there was a short break and regeneration is possible.

“He is 100 percent present in every training session, fully concentrated. Really in every single one. I don’t know anyone who is as hardworking as he is. Neither in judo nor in other sports, »emphasized the coach. Ambition, will to win, discipline and willingness to perform are attributes that you hear again and again in connection with the Neo-Windischer.
