Pacific Rim University wins women’s 5-a-side = Nippon Budokan

The first day of the All Japan Student Championship Tournament of Judo, which competes in team competition, was held at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on the 24th, and Pacific Rim University won the championship for the third time since 2013 in the women’s five-person system by weight. Seifu Arakawa and Raimo Ishioka won the final against Kokushikan University 2-1.

Tokai University and Sendai University, who missed the 8th victory in 4 tournaments in a row, came in 3rd place. Last year’s 3rd place Tokai University Kyushu defeated Hiroshima University 2-1 in the final to win the women’s 3-person tournament for the first time.

Last year’s third-placed Nippon Sport Science University and Tenri University both made it through the first round in the men’s competition in a 7-a-side system with no weight discrimination. Tokai University, aiming for the 27th victory in seven consecutive tournaments, and Kokushikan University, who finished second last year, will appear from the second round on the 25th.
