Xavi Simons threatens to leave PSV after just one season. According to foreign media, the Eindhoven club thinks it will be able to earn about fifty million euros from the Orange international this summer.
Arsenal seriously in the market for Orange-international
Simons exchanged Paris Saint-Germain for PSV almost a year ago. The midfielder-cum-attacker had a return clause built in worth twelve million euros, but it seems unlikely that he will return to Paris this summer. A transfer to England is reportedly more likely.
Clubs like Arsenal keep a close eye on Simons. The Orange international has hired a management with close ties in the Premier League. He would fit the London profile, but that would have to be offset by a price tag of fifty million euros.
PSV has never made it a secret that it wants to keep Simons this summer. The people of Eindhoven want to break open his contract and also delete the PSG clause. The Eredivisie top scorer has previously indicated that he is open to that option, but the sounds about a foreign switch are getting stronger.
