Just over 400 days before the Olympic Games, the federation unveils the selection method for French archers to represent France in Paris in 2024. A selection process that will begin on August 26, 2023 and last until June 2024 at the end of the 3rd round of the world cup.
While France already has, as host country, all the Olympic quotas in archery, it remains to be determined which athletes will defend the tricolor colors on the ground in Paris. They will be three men and three women to represent French archery and their names will be known in a little over a year.
The Paris Olympics are fast approaching and the preparation methods are being refined a little more each day in order to allow the archers to wear the colors of France high and to make archery shine in the eyes of the whole French people.

3 stages of selection to compose the French Olympic team
For this, the federation has put in place a demanding selection process which will begin in August 2023 and will continue throughout the start of the 2024 season.

Like this year, a first selection round will take place from August 26 to September 1, 2023. It will be open to all licensed archers and will consist of the first 4 days of double 2×36 arrows and matches on the three last days. At the end of this stage, only the first 6 of each gender will be qualified for the rest of the process.

In January 2024, a second selection event will retain only 4 best athletes of each gender. The latter will take part in the 2024 World Cup circuit.

It is the results obtained in the three rounds of the World Cup of the season that will serve as the basis for the selection committee to propose to the CNOSF the three archers and the three archers who will participate in the Olympic Games.

At the end of these three stages, the selection committee of the federation will submit a selection proposal to the CNOSF. It is the French Olympic and Sports Committee which will validate the composition of the French archery team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The selection mode for the French Paralympic team will be available later in the season.
