The town of Laragne-Montéglin and its badminton club will host the Southern Alps championships this weekend. This is a first since previously each department – Hautes-Alpes on one side, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence on the other – organized its own championships.
Players of all levels (from non-ranked to regional competitors) will be divided into several series and will compete for the podiums in three categories: singles, doubles and mixed.
The Badminton Club of Laragnais (BCL) organizes this event alongside the Haut-Alpine departmental committee. For this, the club has been mobilizing its volunteers for several weeks to make these championships a great badminton celebration.
This competition closes the badminton season. This has been rich for the BCL with many victories in tournaments, a successful interclub campaign and a great dynamic among members, especially the youngest.
