“The finals are 50-50”, assures Kevin de Bruyne

The Belgian midfielder from Manchester City spoke to the British media before the C1 final against Inter Milan on Saturday.

Kevin de Bruyne’s legacy will not be defined by the result of Saturday’s Champions League final, the midfielder said ahead of Manchester City’s game against Inter Milan in Istanbul.

De Bruyne has won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups and five League Cups with City, but the Big Ears Cup has always eluded the Belgian, who came closest to lifting the elusive trophy in 2021, when City lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the final.

«90 minutes is not enough to define a careerDe Bruyne told British media. I’m at about 700 games. A single game of 90 minutes out of 700 does not define my career. But it obviously helps.»

City beat arch-rivals Manchester United 2-1 in the FA Cup final on Saturday to maintain their historic treble attempt, and will be favorites to beat Inter in the Champions League final this week.

«We deserved to win. I am very happy and very proudsaid De Bruyne. We have to enjoy the coming week and we hope to be able to give our best… Inter are a very good team. The finals are 50-50

«It’s always difficult. You have to know how to manage these moments. There will be tough times, but in the big times we try to do our job. Inter have great players and we have respect for them. They did not reach the final by beating easy teams.»
