Vennecy Judo Club Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Olympic Champions

Vennecy. The Vennecy Judo Club celebrated its 30th anniversary. On the occasion of the club’s 30th anniversary, two great judo champions, Sandrine Martinet, gold medal at the Paralympic Olympics among others and selected for the Paris Olympics, and Cyrille Maret, also with a fine international record, came to take part in the festivities with licensees, former black belts and many parents.

The two champions gave a demonstration to the delight of the judokas, before a signing session and photos. Jean-Claude Vaucherez, president for thirty years, retraced the great moments of the club, which started with fifteen 15 licensees to count 120 today.

Before the glass of friendship and the presentation of rewards, a small nominative gift, in this case a gourd, was given to each licensee. The president took the opportunity to thank Sébastien Vaucherez, a judo teacher for twenty-seven years; Valérie Schaep, treasurer for twenty years and Arnaud Formont, board member for twenty-one years and substitute leader. Without forgetting to salute the investment of the office, the substitute animators, the assistants, the volunteers and the municipality.
