Max Verstappen thinks the new experiment with the special tire rules at the GP of Hungary is ‘completely jerk’. That is what the reigning world champion said to pit reporter Chiel van Koldenhoven from Viaplay. “You just want to keep your tires intact for the race. If we use everything in the training sessions, we will have nothing left. We don’t have to use that many tires. An hour of training is not necessary, you can’t do that much already.”
Verstappen emphasized economy. “It seems like they (the policy makers) like to make it difficult. This setup too, again. I think it’s really ridiculous but we have to make do with it. They’ll figure it out.”
