The closing day of the season is always a very popular moment for members of the “Retraite sportif des Quatre-Saisons” club. This is how a hundred participants found themselves in the Pampelonne leisure area, a very pleasant setting to have a great time: the banks of the Viaur, the shade of tall trees, tables, barbecues , a shelter to protect yourself in case of rain and this shelter was welcome! That day, gray skies, a few light showers, not quite the weather conditions desired by the participants. But the club leaders know how to adapt and the members know how to keep their good mood! This is how 3 levels of hikes could be maintained. Upon returning from the hikes, an impressive table took place under the shelter and enjoyed a paella prepared by the La Valenciana caterer and offered by the club. Everyone had also planned the starters and above all a real farandole of “homemade” cakes, a moment of tasty sharing, all washed down, not by rain but by sangria and wine, in moderation, of course… Chatting, jokes, laughter , a gentle excitement, the pleasure of getting together… At the end of the meal, Bernard Chambert, the president of the club, thanked all the volunteers who had prepared this day and wished everyone a very good summer, while waiting pleasure to meet again at the start of the school year. In the afternoon, the drizzle did not deter the pétanque players, others stayed in the shelter to indulge in board games or simply chat.
Appointment is made at the start of the school year, to practice one of the many activities offered by the club: hiking but also Nordic walking, archery, swin golf, gym, dance, activ’mémoire, self defense, tennis table, VTC and pétanque.
