Amath M’Baye signs with CSKA Moscow and becomes unselectable for the French team

Passed by Anadolu Efes Istanbul (Turkey), Amath M’Baye (45 selections) is a new player for CSKA Moscow. The club announced the news on Friday. The arrival of position 4 tricolor in Russia will deprive him of the selection due to the rules set by the FFBB. Each player who plays in a Russian club is no longer selectable by Vincent Collet. M’Baye will thus be deprived of the World Cup this summer (August 25 – September 10). Thomas Heurtel had experienced the same sanction when he signed at Zénith Saint-Petersburg.

In addition to Heurtel and M’Baye, French internationals Livio Jean-Charles (4 selections) and Louis Labeyrie (34 selections) are currently playing in Russia, respectively at CSKA and Kazan.
