Brian Riemer seems to have made a clear choice: players who should not stay will be sidelined in preseason. This is often politics in Anderlecht, but it seems to ignore a reality: the needs in certain positions.
Club is looking for back(s)
In this case, that of side defender. Every summer, it’s the same song: Anderlecht needs backs. In the plural, and on each side if possible. The only Amir Murillo on the right has been for sale for a long time, by the way, without ever having been removed from the core…because he is the only one in his position.
Killian Sardella is tossed from left to right doing his job rather well, but the RSCA hoped until the last second to transfer Harry Taffolo last winter to the position of left back.
