In addition to being a historic result, with the growth registered in May, the industry overcomes the impact of the pandemic for the first time, with an increase of 1.3 percent compared to the production value registered at the beginning of 2020, prior to the crisis.

In its annual comparison, the increase was 18.2 percent, driven by all industry sectors, with the exception of other construction, which fell 10 percent.

Despite these results, the production value of Mexican construction companies is 25 percent below its highest level, recorded in December 2006.
