On July 20, 30 years after its original release, the reissue of “Black Sunday Expanded 30TH Anniversary Edition” by Cypress Hill, one of the most influential hip hop groups of the 90s.

The reissue will include the original songs from the album “Black Sunday” from 1993 with 5 bonus tracks, including 2 all-new remixes. The remixes are of two historical songs by Cypress: that of “Insane In The Brain” made by the DJ/Producer Statik Selektahis that of “Hits From The Bong” created by himself DJ Muggs.
In addition to the new tracks, inside is the remix of Maybe Boys of the song “Lick A Shot”the Spanish version of “Insane in the Brain”call “Crazy In The Coconut”and the little-known track “Scooby Doo”.
Featuring bonus tracks and the legendary 14 original tracks, the 30th Anniversary Edition immerses the listener fully in the album’s inimitable sonic structure and culture of “Black Sunday”. The smell of smoke, sirens blaring and the energy of a Los Angeles on the verge of decomposition – all these are elements present within the album when the band recorded it. And now, 30 years later, comes the definitive vision of the masterpiece of the Cypress Hill.
“Black Sunday Expanded 30TH Anniversary Edition” will also be available on vinylfeaturing the original album track listing plus 3 bonus tracks that were previously released as 12″ singles, including the fan favorite B-Side”Scooby Doo”.
The album will be pressed on two-tone vinyl, housed inside a gatefold cover, and numbered at 1993 copies worldwide.

On July 20, 1993 it came out “Black Sunday”, the second album of the hip hop legends Cypress Hill. The album completely changed the history of rap, with its dark atmospheres, Latin inflections, no limits in telling certain stories and the inimitable interaction between B-Real e Sen Dog voiced over psychedelic gothic rap soundscapes granted by DJ Muggs.
The album hit #1 on the Billboard 200 and Cypress Hill made history as “the first rap group to simultaneously have two albums in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200“. Furthermore, “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That” earned a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category “Best Rap Performance“.
Still demonstrating its influence today,”Black Sunday” has just been certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA, while “Insane In The Brain” went 3x Platinum and “Hits From The Bong” has earned the Platinum certification.
