Dallas Cowboys’ Super Bowl Drought Continues, Facing Backlash from Oxnard Residents

Los Dallas Cowboys they continue with a huge pending account with his millions of fans Worldwide. And it is that they are already 27 years that accumulate without winning the Super Bowl, so this time they are psyched up to be able to do it.

However, the residents from the city of Oxnard, California, are upset with Jerry Jones and the new VIP hospitality tent they set up at the Vaqueros’ training camps.

This has caused an air of hostility to be breathed from the residents, who are already counting the days until the team stops training and returns to its place of origin to begin the official preparations for the 2023-2024 NFL season.

Neighbors upset with the Vaqueros and their facilities

Los Cowboys have celebrated their preseason at Oxnard since 2011. Before the team from Texas arrived, the place where they trained was just a big piece of land, eventually it became a housing estate.

People who have homes in The Galery could watch the Dallas players no problem, but for this year, Jones built a VIP tent that prevents some residents from seeing the field, is too tall, and blocks sunlight, which can affect greenery.

As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the tent will be removed after the end of the preseason of the Cowboys.

Dallas and Prescott promise a great 2023

Last season was another frustrating season for the Dallas Cowboys. The team fell, again, to the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs and with the quarterback Dak Prescott as a minus point.

Prescott finished last year with 15 interceptions, the worst mark in the NFL. However, according to the quarterback himself, the team won’t have as many turnovers as they did in 2023.

“I’m not even going to have ten interceptions this season,” Prescott said in an interview with Gabriel Trevino of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Monday.

“I know what I’m capable of. If I look back and correct the errors, not even half of those interceptions should have happened. I’m not saying it’s the receivers’ fault, but if we can minimize our errors, that number goes down dramatically. Nobody bothers to analyze that,” Prescott said.
