Something big is in the making! Denis Shapovalov and Miriam Bjorklund
First of all: Warmest congratulations from this point to Denis Shapovalov and Mirjam Björklund, who promised each other somewhere near the sea (perhaps in Sweden?). It’s wonderful when love in tennis bears such grandiose fruit.
But what inspires us even more is the outfit of the two newly engaged couples. Because that’s apparently how these crazy people go to the beach these days. Denis in the fine thread, Mirjam naturally also in the one paner. And, because it’s about time, there’s also a photographer hanging around near the location where our favorite Canadian left-hander (Daniel Nestor may forgive us) dares the cliché-free kneel.
Well, nothing else than pure envy speaks from these lines. May this connection be as inspiring as that between Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils. The latter struggles far too often with his body – but Elina trumped in Wimbledon with the semi-finals. Denis Shapovalov has already come this far without being engaged.
