Ex-Sturm striker Höjlund before moving to ManUnited

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Atalanta Bergamo to transfer striker Rasmus Höjlund, according to media reports. The 20-year-old Dane will switch to the English record champions for 74 million euros, another nine million euros could be added via bonus payments. Höjlund is set to sign a five-year contract with Manchester.

Sturm Graz can also be happy: The Styrians will receive several million more for their former goalscorer. Bergamo transferred 17 million euros for the center forward to Graz in the summer of last year, and the rumored three million are now due through the resale.

Sturm only signed Höjlund in January 2022 for almost two million euros from FC Copenhagen. The Dane has recently become a goal guarantor in the national team. He scored six goals in four appearances in the European Championship qualifiers.

Höjlund would be the third new signing at Champions League starter Manchester after midfielder Mason Mount and goalkeeper Andre Onana. Bergamo has already responded. On Saturday, the Italians signed Malian El Bilal Toure, while Spanish club Almeria received €30m for the attacker.
