First winner for OM Marcelino version

For his debut on the bench, against Nîmes, the Spanish technician Marcelino did not surprise with a 4-2-3-1 game system over the two halves, quite close to his traditional 4-4 -2. Given a transfer window that is still in its infancy and the disparate states of form of his players, the coach has also made many changes and made forced choices by starting a few young people. Some showed themselves to their advantage, like the young midfielder Emran Soglo, converted left side and author of the decisive pass on the opener of Vitinha (50th).

Kondogbia and Payet distinguished themselves, Harit made a comeback

The Portuguese striker has had a complicated last few months at OM, an even more difficult Euro Espoirs, but he scored twice during the period he played – the second -, certainly the most interesting for the Marseillais. We observed the debut of Geoffrey Kondogbia, associated in the middle with Valentin Rongier, and the first recruit of the summer has already shown a lot of authority and initiative in his game forward.

Dimitri Payet found his favorite position – playmaker – by playing under the striker and if he did not particularly shine, we found his influence in the game. We finally saw the return to the field of Amine Harit, after his serious injury against Monaco, last November. The Moroccan international appeared in legs but the road is still long. For him and his teammates, the preparation has really only just begun.
