At Morumbi, Fluminense was beaten 1-0 by São Paulo this Saturday afternoon (01/07). With the result of the match valid for the 13th round, Tricolor remains with 21 points in the Brazilian Championship table.
Under the command of coach Fernando Diniz, the team returns to the field next Sunday (09/07) in a match valid for the 14th round of the Brasileirão. The confrontation, against Internacional, will be at 16h, in Maracanã.
FIRST TIME
Fluminense started the match with a lot of control, keeping possession of the ball with intense exchange of passes. At 7 minutes, Tricolor had the first opportunity of the game. Jhon Arias advanced down the right, found Cano coming down the middle, who received the pass and shot straight for the goal, but went over the crossbar. At 25 minutes, Pirani advanced through the midfield, dribbling two markers and when he arrived at the entrance to the penalty area, he was knocked down by the opponent’s defense.
Keeping up the pressure, in the 33rd minute Lima intercepted the ball and tried to advance to Pirani, but the ball stayed with the goalkeeper.
