Former Ajax manager Edwin van der Sar’s health condition stable after health scare in Croatia

Edwin van der Sar went to Croatia for a holiday when he suffered serious health problems. Amsterdam “Ajax” stated in a statement that the health condition of the former club manager is stable.

Van der Sar, who played 130 games for the Dutch national team, ended his playing career in 2011 in the goal of “Manchester United”. A year later, he joined the board of “Ajax”, but in 2016 he became the manager of the club.

However, in May, van der Sar decided to resign as the Amsterdam club finished third in the Dutch championship and did not qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2009.

In United’s goal, van der Sar won the Premier League title four times and triumphed in the Champions League in 2008. In the ranks of “Ajax”, he became the champion of the Netherlands four times and in 1995 he triumphed in the Champions League.
