French striker Marcus Thuram, at the end of his contract with German club Borussia Mönchengladbach, has signed for Inter Milan, the Italian club announced on Saturday.
At almost 26, the vice-world champion, author of 13 goals this season in the Bundesliga, was expected to join PSG but finally declined the offer for Italy and the club nerazzurro, recent C1 finalist and third of the Championship in 2022-23. He is committed for a period of five years, he said himself on Instagram.
After stints at Sochaux, Guingamp and Mönchengladbach, Lilian Thuram’s son is therefore taking a step with Inter and will return to the Champions League next season. “Marcus Thuram runs fast: he has always run fast, to achieve his goals and overcome all obstacles“, explained the Italian club in a statement on Saturday, adding that”his story is intertwined with that of Inter in October 2020, when Thuram made his Champions League debut at the San Siro against the Nerazzurri».
