Two months ago, the 34-year-old Alba announced that he would leave Barcelona after 11 years.
The left side defender joined “Barcelona” in 2012, coming from “Valencia”. With the Barcelona team, Alba became a six-time Spanish champion, five times triumphed in the Spanish King’s Cup, as well as once in the UEFA Champions League.
Alba played 458 games for Barcelona, scored 19 goals and provided 91 assists.
Alba is Inter’s third high-profile addition this summer. As you know, in June, the world’s biggest football star, Argentinian Messi, joined the team, who signed a contract with the French champion Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), but already at the end of May, the Spaniard Busquets, who spent 18 years at Barcelona, joined the team.
The head coach of “Inter” in the new season will be the Argentinian Gerardo Martino, who once coached both “Barcelona” and the Argentine national team.
In the Spanish national team, Alba played 93 games and scored nine goals, helping the team triumph in the 2012 European Championship and this year’s UEFA Nations League.
Inter’s next game was scheduled for Friday in the MLS League Cup against Mexico City’s Cruz Azul, but it is not known whether any of the star players will be on the field.
