MADRID, 24 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Betis Balompié has announced this Monday the incorporation to its ranks until 2024 of the Spanish footballer Marc Bartra, who will thus return to the Verdiblanca entity after a brief spell with Turkish Trabzonspor.
Born on January 15, 1991 in the municipality of Sant Jaume dels Domenys (Tarragona), Bartra trained in the lower categories of FC Barcelona until making his debut in the First Division with the culé first team in 2010.
“In the summer of 2016, the central defender was transferred to BVB Dortmund, where he remained until his arrival at Betis in his first stage, in which he would end up winning the Copa del Rey. The Betis central defender returns after passing through Trabzonspor, a team with whom he played 32 games and scored four goals, being present in the best eleven of the competition”, the Betic club stated on its website.
An absolute international with the Spanish team on 13 occasions, Bartra’s record includes five League championships, one Champions League, one European Super Cup, one Club World Cup, three Copas del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup and one German Cup.
In this way, Bartra has become the fourth signing of Betis for the 2023/24 campaign, after having already incorporated Marc Roca, Ayoze Pérez and Héctor Bellerín. All this, in a squad that needs to be propped up due to the goodbye of such important figures as Joaquín Sánchez and, more recently, Sergio Canales.
