Michael Vick Advises Tua Tagovailoa to Gain Weight for Career Longevity

Former NFL player Michael Vick was a guest on Dolphins member Tyreek Hill’s podcast and dared to advise Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to extend his career as long as possible.

Tagovailoa considered retiring from the NFL at age 25 because he suffered multiple concussions last season and for this reason Vick advised him through It Needed To Be Said to gain weight to take the blows.

“I just think he has to bulk up a little bit. Get a little bigger. Become stronger. As you grow into your male body, that’s what needs to happen,” Vick said. “There is nothing wrong with gaining another 10 pounds, 15 pounds. Don’t get hit. Don’t get hit.”

After missing four games with two concussions, Tagovailoa has worked through jiu-jutsu lessons to learn how to fall and avoid head injuries. Despite commitments away from him, the Alabama graduate had the best year of his career, racking up 3,548 yards with 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions; in addition to being captured on 21 occasions.

In addition, the four-time Pro Bowl guest declared that Tagovailoa’s passes are very catchable, but he did not dare to say that he is the most accurate QB in the league. A few months ago, Tyreek Hill said that the Dolphins’ is a more accurate quarterback than Patrick Mahomes, with whom he played for five seasons in Kansas City.

“I won’t say he’s the most accurate, I’ll just say his shots… He throws a very catchable ball. If you look at what he did in college, all of his pitches were good. Soft, to where the receiver was,” said the first player drafted in the 2001 Draft.
