The last few nights have been unrestful and rather terrifying for a family in Oklahoma due to a mysterious flying creature, reports the American channel News 4.
For more than a month, the animal has been knocking on the door of the family residence, night after night, and mother Carol Dillin has multiplied her efforts to unmask and hunt the creature.
“It’s really scary when you hear the ”bang”,” says Ms. Dillin. “At first I thought someone was hitting baseballs on the house. Afterwards, it sounded more like basketballs.”
The house surveillance camera captured the animal, but the images do not make it possible to establish beyond any doubt what it is.

Two experts consulted by News 4 suggested that it would be a large butterfly, but Carol Dillin remains convinced that it is a bat.
“I’ve seen enough videos to know that. Because of the scalloped wings, I know it’s a bat,” she maintains.
One thing is certain, Carol Dillin spared no effort to discourage the animal from knocking on her door every night.
She has used bug spray, installed a closet and cushions behind her door to mute the sound, and turned off the lights, but the creature keeps coming to wake her.
Ms. Dillin has also installed a plastic owl and a fake skeleton to scare the beast away, but nothing seems to work.
She now plans to surround the back door adding a section to her house; contractors must go to his residence soon to make an estimate of the work.
