And it’s immediately derby with Roseto. The National Basketball League has released the pairings, the calendar and the formula for the 2023 Super Cup of the National Serie B.
The Theatines will immediately face the Liofilchem Roseto on 9 September at the Palatricalle.
The format of the tournament:
The 36 teams of the Serie B Nazionale 2023/24 are entered in a table, with rounds in a single match, with direct elimination. The team with the best position, with reference to the 2022/23 season, plays each round at home.
In the first round, the teams are reduced from 36 to 18, in the second round from 18 to 9. At the end of the second round, the team, among the 9 winners, with the worst basket difference (points scored – points conceded) with respect to the matches of the first two rounds, it is eliminated: there are therefore 8 teams left.
The quarter-finals are then held, always in a single match; the 4 winners access the Final Four, at a venue to be determined.
