The uncertainty linked to participation in the Champions League does not really seem to be stopping players from joining OM since the start of the summer transfer window. At the start of the summer, Pablo Longoria and Javier Ribalta managed to attract big fish into their net with Geoffrey Kondogbia, Renan Lodi and more recently Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who officially became an Olympian on Friday evening.

The Marseille leaders do not want to stop on such a good path and several positions still need to be reinforced, especially in the offensive sector. To fill this gap, the latter had made Iliman Ndiaye their priority. Promoted with Sheffield and author of an excellent season from an individual point of view, the Senegalese and courted, but never hid his love for OM. At the start of the week, the 23-year-old appeared to favor an extension at Sheffield.

Ndiaye would have finally chosen OM

The deal would have changed if we are to believe the information obtained by RMC. Indeed, Pablo Longoria’s speech would have echoed in the attacking midfielder, who would have definitely given the green light to join La Canebière next season. The media explains that the idea would be to make Ndiaye one of the figureheads of the project and to associate him with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

From now on, the hardest part begins for the Olympian leaders: convincing Sheffield to let go of its nugget. The Premier League resident will probably not simplify the task for OM who, as a reminder, had already offered 16 million euros last week. RMC understands that even in the entourage of the club, it is expected that the negotiations will not be easy.

According to the latest indiscretions, the sale of Iliman Niaye will not be below 20 million euros.
