PMU – Arrival of the quinté of Sunday July 30 in Deauville: Saint Hellier opens the ball

Arrival of the fifth: 3 – 14 – 12 – 4 – 7

He had a difficult string number to manage (15) and was playing at a high value (41). Despite these elements, a priori, negative and a career outside the leader, Saint Hellier (n ° 3) imposed himself with great authority under the saddle of Marvin Grandin, causing a surprise at odds of 30 /1. “I made the choice to leave very quickly because my horse is not easy”, admits the pilot who signs his seventh success at this level. Philippe Cottier’s jockey managed to tame his horse, as he confirms at Equidia’s microphone: “The trainer did not block me in the orders, and I was able to do as I pleased. Mpn partner continues to progress. It was hoped that he would rise through the ranks as he is currently doing. »

For this first event of the meeting, the horses evolving in the south-east of France showed themselves to be very efficient, with three of the first four trained in this region. This is the case of Dragonet (n° 14), the defending champion of the competition, who finished in second place. Alério (n° 12) completes the podium and barely resists the good sprinter, Indian Pacific (n° 4), the second element of Philippe Cottier’s training. Slightly behind, White Whiskey (No. 7) finished in fifth place.

In the absence of the favorites, no bettor has found the right combination of the quinté in the order, nor that of the quarté.
