Provincial Council of Valladolid Organizes Summer Sports Campuses to Promote Healthy Competition

The Provincial Council of Valladolid once again organizes one more summer up to a total of 15 campuses within the Technification Program complementary to the organization of the School Games in the province. The objective of these campuses is to promote good sports practices within the competition as well as to improve the health and well-being of the participants, facilitate work and family life, cultivate sports habits and increase the technical level of the participating players.

Since last June 26, 470 children from the Valladolid province of the prebenjamín, benjamín, alevín, infantil, cadet and youth categories have been enjoying the 5 basketball campuses with 250 seats, 5 handball campuses with 120 seats, and others 5 badminton campuses with 100 places, programmed by the provincial institution to promote sports habits among the little ones.

The campuses are carried out intensively from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at a cost of 15 euros per participant. To date, campuses have already been held in different municipalities in the province of Valladolid, such as Olmedo, Serrada, Cabezón de Pisuerga, Tordesillas and Simancas, and campuses are being developed in other towns, such as the basketball campus in Portillo, the handball in Zaratán or badminton in La Pedraja de Portillo.

The calendar scheduled until July 28 provides for the celebration of basketball camps in Villalón de Campos from July 17 to 21 and in Pedrajas de San Esteban from July 24 to 28. With regard to handball, the appointments will be in Mojados from July 17 to 21, and Viana de Cega from July 24 to 28. And finally, the badminton camps will take place in Peñafiel from July 17 to 21 and Rueda from July 24 to 28.
