Querétaro Athlete to Make National Team Debut in World Archery Championship

Querétaro, Qro., July 28, 2023.- The athlete from Querétaro, Carlos Javier Rojas López, will participate for the first time as a national team in the senior category in the World Archery Championship to be held in Germany; the event is of great relevance when disputing a place for the “Paris 2024 Olympic Games”.

Carlos Javier Rojas is currently the Central American team champion in recurve archery after obtaining the gold medal in San Salvador 2023. With this result, he won for our country the place for the Pan American Games that will be held next October in Santiago de Chile.

At the age of 23, he has competed in multiple world cups, Shanghai, Antalya and Medellín, as well as in world championships as a youth national team in Rosario, Argentina 2017 and Madrid, Spain in 2019; Since February of this year, he has been training at the National High Performance Center in Mexico City.

The archery championship has been held since 1931 by the International Federation of the discipline, in 2023 it will be held from July 31 to August 6 in the Olympic Park in Berlin, Germany and more than 500 world-class archers will compete.
