Tayavek Gallizzi Returns to Quimsa: A Second Cycle Begins

“The recently chosen as the best pivot in the National League will put on the Quimsa shirt again to face the 2023/2024 season, this will be his second cycle in the institution,” reports Quimsa from Santiago del Estero. And he talks about Tayavek Gallizzi, the Santa Fe intern who was a figure and champion with the Institute.

The also player of the Argentine national team played 46 of the 47 Instituto games in the last National League, and averaged 12.9 points, with 64.3 percent in doubles, 39.6% in triples and 75.8% in shots free, plus 5 rebounds in 23.8 minutes. He was the team captain.

He had arrived in Alta Córdoba for the 2021/22 season, in which he became champion of the National League and also won the Super 20.

Gallizzi’s return to Quimsa

“I chose Quimsa because every year it sets up to fight for the tournament and always be on top, this season the club has several important challenges in the different competitions, the institution has been working for years with the sports project and that motivated me at the time to choose. The expectations that I have are to try to leave Quimsa as high as possible in each tournament that we have to compete and I am confident that it will be so, ”said the man from Santa Fe about his return to the Santiago club.

Gallizzi played for Quimsa in the 2016/17 season, in which he played 56 games with an average of 6.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.3 assists.

Gallizzi’s farewell

The pivot had advanced his departure from Gloria last week.

“A sad moment came. Goodbyes are difficult for me, ”the 30-year-old from Santa Fe wrote on his Instagram account.

“They were 2 beautiful years of much learning, growth and goals achieved. We managed to enter the great history of the club. Thanks to all the people for all the nice messages you sent me, I want to tell you that I read them all. This show of affection shows that I was able to fulfill one of the great objectives that I had when I arrived, that of being able to enter your hearts, as well as you in mine, and that this farewell is sad for me is proof that I was able to fulfill another of those great objectives, to love the club and its colors”, wrote the world runner-up with Argentina.

Among all his heartfelt gratitude to the club’s coaching staff and leadership, Gallizzi posted: “Thank you, Gloria. Thanks, Institute. Hopefully time will bring us together again.”
