The Trofeo dei Borghi, a summer event in Bicinpuglia now in its second edition, could not start in a better way.
The perfect event was staged on Sunday in Crispiano: 103 participants (with a derogation from the 100 initially foreseen) gave life to a wonderful show among the past of one of the most beautiful towns in the province of Taranto, in a brilliantly organized kermesse by the Asd Terranostra Team Bike and included in the large billboard of the “Estate Crispianese”.
Crossing the finish line first was Angelo Tagliente, from Bikemania Grottaglie, from Crispia, who preceded Antonio Russo (Terrarussa Ciclismo Presicce Acquarica) and Gino Daddabbo (Sali in Sella). Tagliente will wear the leader’s jersey in the next stage in Galatina, scheduled for July 16th.
The other winners: Calabriso (Students, Sport Bike), Ciccone (Women, Asd Locorotondo), Tagliente (EliteSport, Bikemania Grottaglie), Montanaro (Master 1, Terranostra Team Bike), Rizzo (Master 2, Ciclo-Club Spongano), Daddabbo (Master 3, Get in the saddle), Introia (Master 4, New Cycling Team), Martina (Master 5, Team Eracle), Bruno (Master 6, Black Lions Statte), Marino (Master 7+).

I expected it, after last year’s success and the season tickets for the Trofeo dei Borghi tripled compared to 2022. The rest was put in by the joy and energy of the participants, who filled the squares with a beautiful Crispiano. Congratulations to the Terranostra Team Bike: an excellent organization”.

At the beginning of the event, Piero Luscietti was remembered, who died tragically about three months ago, to whom the entire event was dedicated.
Furthermore, during the event, the “Mom to mom – #iopedaleròperte” initiative of the “Parents of Taranto Onco-Hematology” association was successfully promoted for the small and wonderful warriors of the Santissima Annunziata of Taranto.
