Kinshasa15-07-2023Culture – The Togolese delegation arrived in Kinshasa the night of Friday to this Saturday, July 15, 2023. It was welcomed by the National Games Committee of La Francophonie.
Composed of 14 athletes, the delegation arrives in Kinshasa two weeks before the start of the Games.
The objective is “to train, acclimatise and win as many medals as possible,” said Christophe AGBODO YAWO, head of the delegation.
The delegation was taken to the University of Kinshasa (Unikin), where the Games Village is located.
All members took possession of the rooms and were taken care of by the accommodation, catering and security teams.
Other delegations are expected this weekend and throughout next week to take part in the IX Games of La Francophonie scheduled for July 28 to August 6, 2023.
Namely that the Democratic Republic of Congo is already preparing to welcome its various guests for this great Francophone event.
On this occasion, the first of the Congolese citizens, Félix Tshisekedi issued invitations to various heads of state, in this case, the President of the Republic of Congo/Brazzaville, Denis Sassou Nguesso.
It was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Crispin Mbadu who personally handed over this invitation.
