Park unique in Europe, located in Auvergne in the heart of the volcanoes of the Chaîne des Puys, whose ensemble formed with the Limagne fault is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Vulcania, from where the runners leave for this 10th stage of the Tour de France, invites young and old to explore its 3 thematic universes: volcanoes, natural phenomena and the Earth in Space.

The 10th stage of the Tour promises to be volcanic since it connects the Vulcania park to the city of Issoire. An honor for Vulcania, which thus enters the very closed circle of theme parks that have hosted the peloton.
The Fête du Tour will be present throughout the year at Vulcania with a thematization of the park (decorations, photo points, etc.), special events (Cycling exhibition with Bibendum, the virtual climb of the Puy de Dôme and the Tambora balance bikes for the little ones…) and shows celebrating “the little queen” at different times of the year.
A playful and fun exploration
Designed around 3 thematic universes (volcanoes, natural phenomena and the Earth in Space), Vulcania offers its visitors an exploration that is as playful as it is fun. Dynamic animations, shows, animations with scientists or films on giant screens… each visit revolves around these 4 new experiences:
Lare essential : dynamic animations such as Dragon Ride 2, the Awakening of the giants of Auvergne, First flight, Abyss Explorer or even Sacred volcanoes immerse visitors in immersive experiences in the heart of volcanoes, in the air or under the oceans, in Auvergne as to the 4 corners of the world.
Movies on giant screens : projected on a 415m² screen, the film Regards sur les Volcans invites you to explore the world of volcanoes, the film Ouragan plunges into the heart of this climatic phenomenon as destructive as it is life-saving, and finally the film Neige observes this natural phenomenon which is one of the symbols of climate change. On the side of the Astrodôme of the planetarium with a diameter of 22 meters, the films VAST and Noisettes, in search of the ideal planet, explore the universe.
Thes events with scientists : on each of the 3 universes, park scientists accompany visitors, delivering explanations, stories, anecdotes, and by having them participate in workshops that are as fun as they are participatory
Shows: permanent or occasional, day or evening, Vulcania imagines shows for all audiences. Volcano drones is thus presented every day and visitors will have a lot of fun seeing Professor Yapadrisk in the show Experiences, it’s Show! Other shows such as Les Rapaces en vol libre and The encounter with our volcanic characters will be on the program at different times of the year and the summer will amaze young and old with many shows and in particular 10 night shows in July and August. Finally, the season will end with Professor Yapadrisk’s Halloween and its special decorations which will give the park a special atmosphere.
New: the largest planetarium in France
Are offered to visitors: a pre-show with Jamy Gourmaud, 2 films screened in the dome (VAST for older children and Noisettes, in search of the ideal planet, an animated film dedicated to children), 2 shows animated by the scientific teams in the dome (The volcano-sidereal adventure and Tonight in the sky) or fun workshops (In the skin of an astronaut and Under the sun).
