The Ureta Tizona Burgos Group has a practically closed squad for its return to the LEB Oro. One of the last men to join the project will be the Catalan center Ramón Vilà (2.03 meters), who will arrive on the banks of the Arlanzón from the ACB from Covirán Granada.
At the age of 25, Vilà landed in Burgos at the hands of Tizona with the aim of becoming an important player in the paint. Last season he played a dozen games for Granada in which he averaged two points, 1.1 rebounds and a PIR of 0.7 credits. His prominence in the highest category was rather low, but he did his bit so that the Nasrids remained in the elite.
In the previous campaign, 2021/22, he arrived in Granada halfway through the course and his numbers were more outstanding, being important in achieving promotion to the ACB. He averaged 7.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists and an 8.8 efficiency in the 13 games he played from February through the end of the season.
Vilà was trained in the Barcelona youth academy and made his debut as a Barça player in the LEB Oro, but later he left to try his luck in the university league in the United States. He spent three seasons between the University of Arizona and the University of Tennessee to end up returning to the LEB Oro with Levitec Huesca. He shone on his return with 14 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and a PIR of 15.4, which led to his signing by ACB’s Casademont Zaragoza. He alone spent a few months in the capital, before leaving for Granada. He now faces a new challenge in Burgos.
Arnau Parrado props up the bluish paint. The Ureta Tizona Group has also confirmed this Friday the arrival of the young power forward Arnau Parrado, a player with only 23 years of age and a great projection who arrives in Burgos after passing through HLA Alicante last season in LEB Oro.
