USA Basketball Reveals Squad for FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023

The FIBA ​​Basketball World Cup 2023 will be held between August and September of this year and, through a video posted on its social networks, USA Basketball announced the squad that will represent the United States in the top international tournament.

The squad will be made up of Paolo Banchero, from the Orlando Magic; Mikal Bridges; of the Brooklyn Nets; Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks; Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves; Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers; Josh Hart of the New York Knicks; Brandon Ingram of the New Orleans Pelicans; Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Memphis Grizzlies; Cam Johnson of the Phoenix Suns, Walker Kessler of the Utah Jazz, Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks; and Austin Reaves of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The last participation of USA Basketball in the Basketball World Cup ended with the American team in seventh position. In the quarterfinals they were beaten 89-79 by France and in the qualifying matches from fifth to eighth place they lost 94-89 to Serbia. On that occasion, the roster featured Derrick White, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Harris, Marcus Smart, Harrison Barnes, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Mason Plumlee, Myles Turner, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton and Kemba Walker.

For 2023, USA Basketball will face Jordan, Greece and New Zealand in the first phase of the tournament in the city of Manila, Philippines, as part of Group C.
